Depends on the gun from my experance probe mounted seals tend to last longer than in barrel seals as these are more likely to be damaged by pellets passing through them my daystates seal seem to last for ever(probe mounted)I had a parker hale
that was alway damageing the seal in the barrel
As stated. Don't change it unless it's broke. These can last a lot more pellets and sometimes the change doesn't work so well. Definitely the type that screams leave alone until you have a problem. In my experience anyway.
