    25mm Hw77/97

If the 25mm hw was the optimal bore diameter, why did they change it to 26mm? Be interested to know from the BBS Illuminati.
    Thanks Chaps,

Possibly because the UK is not the centre of the airgun universe. Other markets have different power constraints.

    Yep, as The Captain says.

Now, with newer knowledges and technologies available, wouldn't it be brilliant (certainly for us) if HW fought back with a 24/25mm bore, complete with synthetics and custom fitted guides?

Yes that is the same suggest reason given for the upgrade to the TX.
I wonder why HW and AA didn't think of that in the first place

Could have been due to the HW50 morphing in to the 26mm 99s,with the 55 gone already no others were in production with 25mm.

    Wouldn't have thought so, Mick.

I had been thinking along those lines, with the HW95/98 also boasting the 26mm bore, and HW rationalising the parts employed. But the HW30/S still runs the 25mm bore. Even more reason to go back to 25mm!

I'd forgot about the MK11 HW30,so if its a power thing why not still a supply a 25mm 77 /97 since they already did.
