I also have no experience of the Hammerli mentioned but for the past 27 months I have been using a LP400 trouble free and with some success to the extent that when a limited edition became available (won by a fellow club member at the Northern Shooting Show) I bought that one as well.

Many thanks for taking the time to answer, and for clearing up my confusion regarding the 2 pistols.

From what I've read the lp400 is in a different league.

    Walther LP400

I'm afraid I also don't have any experience with the Hammerli Pro- but I recently upgraded my vintage(?!) Steyr LP1, my first match pistol to the LP400 carbon and I am very pleased with it indeed, it is a fabulous pistol. In reality, all of these pistols will probably shoot better than you or I but the better the pistol, the more adjustment and room to grow as it were. I would definitely recommend the Walther. Superb!
