Rare, high quality pumper.
Hopefully that one has been de-tuned. In stock form, you can put 18-20 pumps into them, which puts them far into FAC territory.

S&W 77A .22
I fettled one for a shooting buddy couple of months ago. Couldn't revive it by no means. Main problem was cocking pump pressure build-up and sealing of compression unit due to heavy handed treatment until I got my hands on.
Though my thread in our Austrian forum is mainly in German it shows a lot of pictures with English descriptions. So for those interested:

Crosman? No way. Smith & Wesson only. Production ceased in 1978.

You can still get spare parts for the pump/compression unit. You may try http://www.mac1airgunshop.com/
Could act as a nice but if you want higher power though painstaking plinker.
Accuracywise it will never be up to a more actual springer.
I was only discussing these with a work mate of mine the other day, he has an as new, boxed version as he's a serious collector.
I remarked how my mate picked one up from a house clearance shop when we were about thirteen years old - it was seriously powerful so I doubt it had been adjusted from the US market. He also fed it a diet of Prometheus pellets as he had a better part time job than I did and could therefore afford such luxuries
Put on heading 270, assume attack formation
