    cometa 3300 strip down new Titan spring

    Anyone ever stripped the 300 cometta ? or similar model Any advise on possible pit fulls?Mine needs a new spring so Fitting Titan spring and new breach seal and piston seal.(Sorry put an extra 3 in title of thread)

    Yes,

    I did one a few years back.
    Easy enough. The slot is very very rough and could do with a file.
    It’s very easy to go over power as the 300 and 400 were made initially to run at higher lower levels and de tuned for the uk.
    I used a standard spring from chambers, re lubed and filed the slot and was on 11.4 before it settled.
    Very simple to work on, but it can be easy to round screws.
    Chambers has an exploded diagram that may help you.

    The 300 is a doddle to strip, very well made inside no plastic!

    cocking slot id assume. it may nick the seal when refitting if left rough

    Be prepared to shorten the Titan spring a bit, they are a bit of a source rather than a drop-in part, try it unaltered but don't be surprised if the gun is doing 15ftlb's before adjustment. If the Cometa 300 is the one I'm thinking of, it'll happily go as far as you let it, but if my failing memory serves me they're a piece of pee to work on.

    Sorry should have been more specific. Yes the cocking slot. Sharp enough to slice your finger...so i found out
