Homemade NV from a HD camera

    Hi
I'm thinking of making a NV camera to attach to my scope.
I've seen the YouTube vids and it looks quite simple???
So my question is, do I go with a camera with high X zoom or stick with the one I've got which is a Samsung 14 pixels and 3 X zoom.

    Cheers

not seen many NV systems done with a photo camera . most use the cctv type cameras lit the e700 https://www.sure24.co.uk/kpc-e700pub...-internal.html

you would need a camera that is good at video recording which i suspect most photo cameras don't do .

you would be better joining the Nightvision forum http://www.nightvisionforumuk.com/ and seeing what the people on there have used . you can make a pretty good set up for under £100 or so.

Jax13 on here has built one . he may reply if he sees this . there is some good builds on the forum . just be aware that some may give advice that includes buying their setups (my opinion)

there is a facebook group called NVUK also. the guys on there will give you advice also .and a few have good kits ready to buy and fit for a good price.

You want a good low light board camera, sony IMX225.

Hook it to a small LCD monitor, like those sold on for car reversing cameras etc.

Attach batteries and away you go.

    Have a look on http://nightvisionforumuk.com/
