    Mail slams vigilante airgunners

More sensationalist reporting from the Daily fail.

Airgun vigilantes with extremely high calibre weapons are attacking grey squirrels with their kids tagging along for a laugh.

The Mayor: Intent? How did you establish that?
Harry Callahan: When a man is chasing a woman through an alley with a butcher’s knife and a hard-on, I figure he isn’t out collecting for the Red Cross.

Must be Looks like a the DM is revving up to support more governmental gun control. Funny how these things just appear when new legislation is proposed Sadly, trophy photos don't help the sport's case. Just gives the antis ammunition.

There isn't any new legislation proposed. Current laws are going to be reviewed only. They appear because the rag that is the Daily Mail employs useless "journalists" that try and drum up stories out of nothing. They do it across all topics not just shooting. They do it because they have a following of utterly stupid and narrow minded keyboard warriors who fall for these types of stories whilst they take a break from reading sh*te about celebrities latest break ups and snaps of them on the beach.

Whatever political party proposes legislation to ban morons will get my vote!

Ok, so banning .50 and other rifles, stopping internet sales of knives and banning private ownership of "prohibited weapons" isn't new legislation

O I thought you were referring to the airguns in the article.
Ok yes I've read and responded to the proposals to ban .50 cals, MARS as well as restrict knife sales. Not sure that's the driver for this sorry excuse of an article though. These so called "journalists" spout this sort of carp all year round about multiple different topics.

    The squirrel page,

We have been contacted by the Express & the Mirror for comment on a story they say they'll be publishing tomorrow. We haven't given them an official response. It seems pointless because its blatantly obvious its going to be negative sensationalism by the tabloids. We did suggest that we may comment if they gave us some money....its gone quiet up till now ! ;-)

Mirror has followed it up! Do they get paid per article!

Surely this is a lesson to us all to keep a low profile and go about our affairs "below the parapet"

There are too many bleeding hearts wanting to ban anything to do with hunting so dont put anything on this social media thingy that could be considered as contravershal .
Knitting with sharp needles will be banned next.

From the Mail only Extreme High Caliber Morons. I wonder if our ever diplomatic Terry would like to drop them a line because my language will not be acceptable.

The same Daily Mail that two days before was reporting about the squirrel pox been transported to Anglesey by grey squirrels and wiping out the indigenous reds

The worst part, if its true what I've read is that the writer is a hunter who has a grudge against Si Pittaway!

The pratt who wrote the article is probably one of these so called FAC holders who can not come to terms with the fact that unassuming guys with sub 12ft.lbs air rifles are actually much more effective in getting rid of these vermins than all those fancy 300+ ft.lbs guns. I am not for one moment suggesting that those who hold FACs are pratts but we have all seen the odd idiot who think s because he holds an FAC he is a superior being. I recall the exchange that I had with one of these guys on a hunting froum a couple years ago where he had suggested that hunting pests and vermins with sub 12 ft.lbs air rifle should have been be banned. Lets face it the chap does write for the Mail after all.

    Thumbs up

    That article has inspired me

I'm off work on Wednesday - I'm going to head down the woods and shoot a few squirrels for some squirrel and bacon pasties - I reckon 4 will do.

My colleagues at work have really become interested in the things that I take in for them to try. None of them are hunters but, they all like to hear about where it's come from while they have a taste.

    All of the above.

The mail becomes more liberal every day.

IIT always supports the useless wet tories, and is one the most anti_gun rags in Britain.

It probably only sells well because of it's regular coverage of tht kardashians and other c list celebrities that most of us have never heard of.

It is all arse and cleavage.
