Tbf ive not tested how many times and what style of PTFE seal is more ...or less suited to dry firing ...but the thick plain lump on the 45 probably benefits a punt without a pellet first time of fitting.

I bought my HW45 second hand and don't know if the previous owner(s) carried out the two dry fires so, if I do it, that will be four dry fires. Is that ok ? And, if the fella I got it from also bought it second hand and it was twice dry fired by the previous owner(s) that would be Six dry fires. And, if that bloke bought it second hand.......

...its probably so expanded in diameter and thus slowed down so much that it wont care ....pellets, or no pellets ..

Having first shot a rifle some 60 odd years ago, dry firing a springer for whatever reason has always been an anathema to me. I was told a long time ago there was a danger of damage to the spring. The nearest I have ever come to it in modern times, is by firing a felt cleaning pellet down the bore.

    45

Two Hw45 30 years apart only 3 ftlbs

I have just bought two hw45 one in 177 and one 22 both producing around 3 Ftlbs on the chrono. Going to strip both clean polish and rebuild. Is it worth putting in tbt kits and Titan Springs

Maybe, but aftermarket springs are rarely as good, and usually more expensive that the ones designed for the gun
