I find a quick squirt of WD40 before each shot in my TX200 makes dieseling work pretty well.

Probably will when all the lube inside has been combusted. Depending how much lube is in there will determine how much the piston seal will be hardened and burned.
New rifles are heavily lubed with thin oil.
Best strip clean and re lube properly.

If its not new, strip clean and relube as its been lubed to heavily. No lube should be getting forward of the piston seal.

Power may drop considerably when the rifle is cleaned out and relubed.
    What rifle is it ?

I'd have wagered good money on you saying it was a walther.
I bought a century new that chronoed in the shop at 11.5 but dieselled heavily with lots of smoke.
Stripped as soon as I got home and factory lube was literally dripping out of it.
After cleaning power was around 9ftlbs

    Fitted a TBT kit

Easiest rifle in the world to strip.
It will eventually shoot out but it wont do the seal any good. Power and accuracy may be variable till it settles down

If you're thinking about replacing piston seal you may as well just clean it.
Breech seal should be fine with a wipe over.

As to where you'd get walther spares, sorry i dont know. Maybe put a seperate post up asking that. I sold mine.

And it can also damage the internal parts of the rifle.
