I find a quick squirt of WD40 before each shot in my TX200 makes dieseling work pretty well.

Would shooting the rifle eventually stop the dieseling

Probably will when all the lube inside has been combusted. Depending how much lube is in there will determine how much the piston seal will be hardened and burned.
New rifles are heavily lubed with thin oil.
Best strip clean and re lube properly.

If its not new, strip clean and relube as its been lubed to heavily. No lube should be getting forward of the piston seal.

Power may drop considerably when the rifle is cleaned out and relubed.
    What rifle is it ?

And it can also damage the internal parts of the rifle.

Spares are readily available from Germany: Versandhaus Schneider I believe. Complete kit of piston/seal and spring very reasonable price. Remember to get the 'export' spring. Delivered to your address as well.
If you try / succeed in getting a new piston (i.e. complete piston not just the seal) from Armex I think it has to go to an RFD. So you may have to order from your local shop.
    Cheers, Phil
