Would a slip on silencer with 16mm diameter fit a rifle of say a14mm diameter?? or is that just a daft idea?

When you tighten the lock screw it will pull the body down too far so the bore will not be central,
you could shim the barrel but it will need to be the whole length of the over fit or there's a chance of the mod muzzle being knocked out of true.

hello, thats good to hear, if you get a slip on just put a bit of tissue in the stud hole and screw down gently to hand tight, this saves marking the barrel.
