My power went up to 11.7 puppys.

With these new pellets it went up to 11.7 Llanfairpwllgwyngyllgogerychwyrndrobwllllantysilio gogogoch.

Even if your assumption is correct, it's still not right.
None of the above carry the units - or are recognisable symbols - of energy.
In these days of dumb celebrity it may be trendy to appear careless but that doesn't make use of nonsense units right either.
On the other hand, the use of 'fpe' for Energy does at least imply the correct units (Foot Pound Energy) as long as you make the assumption that folk understand what the 'F', 'P' and 'E' stand for.
Seems to me that it would be better to use the proper (Ft.Lb or Ft.Lbf) units in the first place since that's what extracting the units from ½.m.v² gives us.

It's understood that the unit of measure is a measurement in energy. To state as much is like saying KmD where the D means distance.

If we are going down the pedantic route, then it should be either: ft⋅lbf, ft⋅lbf or ft⋅lb (note the dot in the middle of the line, not a full stop). lbf or lbf are pound-force, whereas lb could also be pound-mass, but lb is acceptable for both. Because there is no '⋅' key on the keyboard, I usually type 'ft.lb' instead, but at least I know it is wrong. As stated previously, 'ft/lb' is always incorrect for energy.

    Go on then, I'll bite.
Show me how you derive those units and I'll show you where you're going wrong.

Why do you see runners and athletes eating bananas then?

Lol. Lois Griffin told Pete Griffin that the safety word was 'Bananas' (hmmmm, said soft fruit seems to be a recurring theme on this thread), so maybe our Pete would like to use that word, too ???
