Just ordered a couple of reprinted Beeman catalogue from the American flay of bees. A damned good read hopefully.

    Robert Law and ARH

    R. Law began importing high-end German airguns in the mid-60's with his informative and seductive catalogs, in-house check of every gun shipped, and deferred payment scheme. The man had a heart of gold but Beeman wiped him out in marketing and promotion, as well as profitability. In 1981 I spoke with Robert regarding a Custom 120X I'd purchased locally, and he was at that point selling off his inventory of spare parts and a few remaining guns.

    Here’s some interesting reading: http://airgunner.org/?p=51

Thanks for posting that information regarding Air Rifle Headquarters Don.
I have to admit that I was unaware of the contribution Robert Law made to the promotion of quality airgun products in the U.S. Clearly I have been taken in by the exceptional marketing abilities of the Beeman's. Mr Law appears to have been a genuinely nice man with a genuine passion for the product. The comments from two of his ex employees appears to confirm this. I think we can safely say that should a hall of airgun greats ever exist, he would be on it.
    Anyway, a great read Don!
