Hi,
I have both. The HW45 a recent acquisition. They are both great and very different which is why I would advise you to get both. In your position I would get the HW45 first, where else would yo get a sleeper with such family/sentimental connection? Then save up for the Pp700 which seem to be available New for £150 some places. You will need to budget for a pistol scope or red dot.
