    Not seen one like this before.The timber grip gives a lovely feel and balance.
    Seems to be very well made and fitted superbly.

    Shoots like a "new en" as well.

    Value?

    I've also not seen one like it. BSA could easily have done something like it themselves and I think it was a case of thinking 'if it ain't broke, don't fix it', sales-wise, that they didn't. Plus perhaps a bit of pre-WW2 imperial arrogance?

    I've always thought it a shame BSA didn't take a leaf out of Diana's book and copy their half-stocked underlever rifles of the 1930s - which in turn were updated ripped off BSA designs.

    I think it would look much better if the underside was more rounded. I guess there is no way of knowing in which decade it was fitted. I suspect the pictures have made a few purists shudder

    That forend does nothing for me I'm afraid. I have seen some very nice ones fitted to the Mk II Webley Service, which looked the part and another on a Britannia but they looked like they belonged to the rifle and did not look like an afterthought.
