    That is a superb addition. It is so ugly that it's beautiful (lol) and I want one, too. When would that quirky (yep, there's that word again ), little pistol have been made, please?

    Thanks! Er, approximately 1918.... there’s a very subtle hint in the title of the post and even more subtle hint in the accompanying description. Really not surprising that you missed it.

    Nice one Jimmie. Looking at the examples in the gallery I've just noticed that the trigger/grip in the two pistols pictured is in a different place, making the John A one - where it's set forward - something of a 'bullpup' design.
