    Have you tried adjusting the pivot bolt?

    I set my break barrels without the spring as so the barrel falls under its own weight.

    I set mine so they just about don't But not very different in practice...

    It falls with the lightest of touches so all is well. It's just that it's such a tight squeeze when fitting. I don't remember it being so tight on my last one (but that was 27 years ago so my memory may be playing tricks).

    So just to be clear - FWB Sports have a pair of shim washers on each side? A dished one and a flat one?

    The only Sport I ever had, had the breech shims missing altogether, unfortunately.

    That was a pretty sloppy fit, I can tell you.

    yes one flat one dished,been a while since i stripped mine so i can't remember which way round. atb
