The link does work, i've tested it a few times, but Photobucket is really slow today, so give it up to a minute to appear or try tomorrow

@rob I'll ask my tuner on tues, he's closed til then. I'm new to springer internals & don't know. I did sent him a Hw95 link, not sure if he used it.
i have seen the pic that looks great. so i take it that the barrel and the 95 linkeage has been modified to fit the 99 not read the whole thread. is this correct? if so it would be interesting to see it with the stock off and the barrel broken. because if i have got it right then thats quite something. or did you not use the 95 barrel just the linkeage?

Because the barrel of the 80 & 95 etc have a bigger breach block with single cocking link it is not a direct swap. However you can slim down the 99 cocking link at the pin end so it slips in the 95 breach block, the pin is now further forward than a standard 99 so on cocking some room is needed in the stock.

I called my tuner today & he confirmed what tonyl & landymick said, he used the HW50s link. Also interestingly he said that the shaving down of the link might not be necessary on older 95 barrel/blocks or from the links of older HW50s rifles. Apparently in the last few years Weihrauch beefed up the 95 breech block which left less room for the cocking link at the pin end.
No machining was necessary on the breech block.
