    Sidewinder 10x42, problems?

Tried a search but couldn't find an answer.

The Sidewinder 30mm 10x42 is looking like quite good value (£175 new) this week.
I know there were some problems with them a couple of years ago, has anyone bought one recently and had a problem?
Will be going on one of my TX200's. Not sure which yet

Not looking for recommendations (i.e just get an MTC)

    Thanks

Just keep the receipt, Hawke Warranty support is second to none.

If there were problems with them then there would be multiple threads on here, which there aren't.

    Hi,
I bought one in the last 2 months.
It’s very nice and good value for the money.
I replaced a falcon menace 10x42 with my sidewinder.
Nothing wrong with the falcon at all, I’d definitely buy another, but I needed IR as my eyesight is a bit pants.
So far so good. No issues, good glass and very good build quality.

    Regards,
    Rhys

    Dan,

I have had my Sidewinder 30 10x42 for a couple of years now, and it has behaved flawlessly; for me, it is an excellent scope.

(I have it on my Wonky Donky extreme short-stroked TX200, using a BKL one-piece mount.)

Have fun & a good weekend

    Best regards

    Russ

Good to hear its working well
Depending on how well I can range find with it, it will either go on my TX200HC (main HFT gun) or my full length Mk3 (plinking gun)

Where are you seeing it for £175 new?.... I have had one of the newish ones that come in a white box (got it 2nd hand) but I didn't think it was the same quality as 2 older ones I have that came in the flight case type box.
I have had no problems with the 2 older ones I have.
Smile!...today is the day you worried about yesterday. :-)
