Its a old gun and over the years the barrel got very scratched so I polished it but I was wondering if it would be worth having it reblued, any opinions on if I should leave it as it is. Also any idea what it would cost?

Or you could buy an aerosol of "Simonize" Tough black satin paint & give it a few coats, which looks very nice done correctly.
Looks good to me like that.
How do you keep rust away?
I have an old 80 the barrel is brown but it just looks right like that.
I have a 95 with knackered blueing and it's nice not having to worry v about it.
I am thinking about the creocoat stuff probably spelt wrong.
Doesn't look bad the way it is if you polish it regularly. Re-bluing the barrel alone will give it a different appearance from the cylinder. Not as different as it is now like.
Nice 34. The big stock was a good look for the gun.
I have a hw35 in a similar condition. I reblued myself by heating and oil quenching, although not fabulous it does look better than it did and offers better protection than nothing.
There's some talented people out there, that's for sure. Here's another good one. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XQn5PdM5mbw
Theres bluing and blacking , is there a difference as in the colour or are they just the same
Ive only had one reblue and although it looked lovey it never shot as well ever again, can the blueing effect the inside of the barrel at all ?
