Yes it is.
Is the dovetail on the Buccaneer the same width as on the Meteor and other Bsa's of the era please ?

Yes it is.
It's based on the Scorpion pistol, so surely it's the same 11mm rail?.
Yes it is.
You need the Mk5 5x15 scope though, something I have been looking for since picking up an apparently unused boxed Buccaneer.
Kind regards,
John
Thank you for all the replies - Appreciate your help !

Ha Your unused one that was a find. Sounds great !
My old Buccaneer is the most fun with an air rifle I have had in ages. And switched me on to aperture sights too.
Was the Bsa MK5 5x15 the factory option or is it to do with eye relief ?
In fairness the vintage alloy tubed Bsa scopes with the rail underneath aren't bad glass considering the size and cost.

Hi, think it might have been a 1.5x15 scope rather than 5x15?
You're quite right Morgan - the Mk9 not Mk5.
Oddly enough my boxed example came with a Mk8 pistol scope, which is the wrong scope for the rifle but I wonder if the set left the factory with the Mk8? The rifle and accessories including the scope are virtually unused.
Kind regards,
John
Ha your Buccaneer sounds a beauty and a good find - I reckon they must be reasonably scarce in good order, as I have only ever encountered a few examples over the years, (even as a youngster) and seldom for sale.
Mines good and original - with some light honest wear to the bluing and stock finish, but tidy still, unbodged with and mechanically tight.
Would be great with a full power single shot PCP conversion - though perhaps that would miss the point of this fast handling plinker. Did hear that they where quite popular in Germany where they have a free class of lower power limit airguns.
