    Thanks for the feedback folks.
I'll be converting one of the fitted wardrobes to a gun cabinet with some of those Volatile Corrosion Inhibitor Papers recommended by bighit.

From what I can see a lot of members photograph their gun on the bed, which leads me to to think they dont let them out of the bedroom much

i would do some more research on the VCI paper . i got them from a place i worked . they wrapped piston liners for engines in them . they were cast iron and some valve guides would come with a square of the VCI paper in plastic packet .

i used it because i got it free but it may not work like VCI product designed for firearms .
i saw it on a US forum where the guy put a few sheets in his cabinet .

    https://www.jamesdawson.com/pdf/pack...n-criteria.pdf some info there .

this place sells VCI products . http://www.championzerustguncare.co....tion-products/

there is other brands selling their versions of it as seen here https://www.amazon.co.uk/Napier-VP90.../dp/B003GJGDIA

Lomo.co.uk sells extra long drysacks like the ones used on canoes for £12. I think they would be permeable to moisture in the long term but would be great for smoothing out the peaks in humidity you get in a bedroom.
