    Pigeons and pheasants too?
What about all those unprocessed bambi burgers?
Though none can hold a conversation like my Labrador can....

Any & every animal & bird is sentient which is why every hunter should ensure that any shot is an instant kill and does not leave a wounded animal.

Yes, but the government has published a NEW law that says it must treat animals as "sentient beings" when it makes laws, how will lobby groops like the RSPCA see this NEW law.

An interesting point is that it could make Halal and Kosher slaughter illegal, which will put them in a right quandry! If Halal and Kosher slaughter is still permitted then hunting must be allowed too.

I can't see that it will make any difference to us, vermin is still vermin & requires controlling.

I did read somewhere that many German hunters carry a long thin knife to finish animals off. This seems to be some macho German thing so I wouldn’t be at all surprised if at least some animal are deliberately disabled rather than killed outright.
We can judge the heart of a man by his treatment of animals.

Perhaps brexit still might not happen.

Right at the end - looks as though 'wild' animals aren't going to be covered

Labour's Sue Hayman, shadow environment, food and rural affairs secretary, said: "This is a rushed and haphazard attempt to backtrack on the government's mistake of not including animal sentience in the EU Withdrawal Bill.

"There are serious questions about whether this Bill is equivalent to current EU standards given that it does not appear to cover wild animals - giving this Tory government freedom to pursue their pro-fox hunting and reckless badger culling agenda across England."

Could put an interesting slant on "inner city vermin control"

These incompetent lot are in such a dire state that they would do anything to get a few extra votes. I am not too hopeful on the licence front either.
