    Hw35 service

    Hi chaps
I have fitted a synthetic piston seal -new Titan Xs spring with a Tin bum set of guides.
The gun is doing 10.2 ftbls with Crosman pellets and it has one preload washer fitted.
The spring as been cut down and been refinished. There is about 2" of preload on the spring. The gun fires nice and quick, there is some vibration felt on the trigger when pulled.
The gun is in .177 cal.I will put a few pellets through the gun and let the piston seal bed in a bit.
Would the gun benefit from less spring preload??.
    Les..

I find that most of the 35's I get in tend to operate nicely with 3 coils exposed from the end of the cylinder before screwing in the trigger block. Another mod I have done on others is to open the transfer port. Think the drill I used is 3.7mm.

Less preload is usually better for 35's.

I will have a look tomorrow and adjust as needed,I did think the spring preload was a bit excessive .
The gun belongs to a mate,so I don't want to alter the transfer port.
I have not come across a vibrating trigger on any gun before..
    Thanks for your input..

yeah, I think the short stroke and heavyish piston makes it easy to go harsh, hence less preload helps..
Always looking for any cheap, interesting, knackered "project" guns. Thanks, JB.

I have come across trigger "kick back" on a few rifles, very uncomfortable.
