    Pics would help.

The most valuable Longbows are the factory Venom ones called the Sidewinder Compact. North of £400.

Regular Longbows come in two types. "Proper" Birmingham-made ones, and the ones made in Turkey for a few years after Webley went bust.

Turkish ones (many have a thumbhole stock and are marked SE) can be OK, or they can be crap. At a guess, one that shoots OK in presentable condition is probably worth £120-140. I certainly wouldn't pay more than that.

Webley ones are fairly sought after by both collectors and shooters. Depending on condition, I'd say a basic beech one is worth roughly something in the £160-200 bracket. Walnut ones £220-300. Deduct £20 if the factory "muzzle break" thread protector is missing.

If you aren't sure what wood your stock is, an identifying feature is that the walnut stock has chequered panels on the grip; the beech one is unchequered.

If the left hand side of the breech is stamped "BIRMINGHAM, ENGLAND", you have a British one.

I might have to revise my estimates upwards a bit.
