    tx200 bearing rings material

Does anyone know what the Tx piston bearing rings are made from? I guess delrin .... or are they nylon or ptfe?
    Does it matter?
    Cheers, Phil

Thanks ... I guessed so. I must admit though that my acetal is in the garage not the bog. Now, should I go for white or black?.....
    Cheers and thanks again,

Strictly speaking you'd need UHMWPE, Ultra High Molecular-Weight PolyEthylene. This has now replaced Acetal, Nylon 66 and PTFE in the manufacture of bearings where contact is made with metal. Acetal is relatively cheap and readily available though so if you have it use it.

Now if I ever get on Pointless and am asked to give a code like UHMWPE, I am bound to get a Pointless result.
    Seriously though ... thank you.

Just wondered if anyone has ever looked at the igus iglidur range for alternatives to acetal/delrin and UHMWPE? Something like the J2 grade would seem to fit the bill but I haven't yet compared mechanical properties against the common choices for air rifle internals.
Be good. And if you can't be good, be good at being bad.
