The BSA Superstar, one time Flagship air rifle of that illustriuous company !
Had three, a .22, ,25 and lastly a .177 Carbine. All shot very well and the triggers were very good, not on a par with the HW Rekkord but not many are !

I'd probably have another if a really mint job came along complete with sights etc.

So was it the goldstar that came out mid eighties that had the sliding breach as opposed to the Mag?

Superstar came out in 1990. Rotary breech.

I've just ordered a sheet off of the bay of thieves, item no 262795115018 1.5mm x 150mm x 100mm for £2.50 (and you can get larger size sheets if you want), my Maxigrip is 150mm long so just need to cut it to the width needed, hopefully that will work as John Knibbs is charging £4.50 for two strips.

It's alright if you're lucky enough to get one that shoots anything other than Bis Mags, Chris.

Actually, my first rifle for FT was a .177 Superstar. That was a good barrel on that one. I should have kept it.

It saw me through the first ten minutes of target shooting, before I bought a Shamal PCP.

Yes I was the one who got Tinbum's Superstar at the last bash. A truly great gun in a Cs800 stock. Not done anything to it yet. Lovely to shoot with a little WTC on it. Shooting super domes out to 60 yards as accurately as I can manage

Recently sold a Superstar .25 carbine, it was lovely, nice to shoot, slight issue with the smaller pellets required. I only sold it as if I pick up a .25 to shoot, its the Supersport carbine every time!
    Thanks - Geoff.

I had the same problem with my first .25 Lightning barrel (which was defo a .243), the second one I have is a proper .25, the thing I have noticed is that the .25 BSA Pylarms pellets seem to be tighter than older batches.

Where's the best place to find a new stock for the superstar or very good 2nd hand? Thinking I want to keep it standard but a fancy stock is always nice?
