Who imports the Sig air pistols?

What is the point of importing these guns if the pellets aren't readily available in the UK?

The guns are tested with these pellets . Hence the high velocities advertised. No wonder people using 7.3-7.9 grn and heavier complain that they have poor velocity and hit low.


How come the best pellets for the job are like hen's teeth in the UK?

I think you have a very valid point Arthur.

Would be good if pellet firing pistols were set up to hit the point of aim with lead pellets, which after all are accessible and used by most of us.

I think Highland Outdoors are the importers but I doubt if they have enough clout to change things.

I posted about these a few days ago but have received no replies.

I assume that for one reason or another they aren't rated.

The lightest pellets I have ever seen are North Air CO2 PELL, (see pic below) The metal head is a tiny wadcutter, smaller than the normal Prometheus type seen also in the pic. My scale is down in the garage but I am guessing these are less than 5 grn. If you get in quick there is an original sealed packet of 400 at a shop in Scotland for £15.

I have a box of these sold as Crosman co2pell exactly the same as your pic, they were supplied in a cardboard box with the pellets in a ziplock bag inside. I remember when I did try firing them thru a cp88 they used to produce long 'hairs' of the plastic material the skirts are made of. Interesting & unusual but not very practical.

I have never had a problem with them, and shot them through loads of different pistols and rifles. Of course the velocities are quite high due to the low weight, but only good for short range shooting. I have been able to recover shot ones from the carpet back stop and reuse them a few times.
