From another idiot who learned the hard way:

(a)upload your photo onto a hosting site like Imgur
(b) Copy the picture's url from the site
(c) Start your new thread on airgunbbs
(d) when you want to insert your picture click on the icon on the toolbar that looks like a square with a dot at each corner.
(e)This will come up with a box into which you paste the url of your picture
(f) click OK and you are done

Hi Pete,

I now use the Imgur photo hosting site and having uploaded the picture, I copy the appropriate URL from the list on the right of the picture and paste it directly into the post. It also provides a list of optional sizes below the URL list so that a suitable size can be selected prior to copying the link

Much better than Photobucket ever was.

Yes, if your link has [IMG] at the front and [/IMG] at the end, you can paste it directly into your post and it'll appear

I should point out that I've created an account for free pic hosting on the same platform that hosts all the pics in my gallery and you're welcome to use it to host any pics you want to post in collectables.

It's probably a bit more complicated at first to use than Imgur but it has the great virtue that in years to come, when Imgur eventually pulls the plug like Photobucket did, the links will still be working.
