I just hate assembling these. Is there some technique I am missing ? Got one to do at the moment.

Any Fortis watches in your collection John?

'Fraid not Jim, I bought one from a local antiques stall, It said that it had been serviced, It gained an hour every two!!

Also, I was told by several people that it was a fake!!, It was an Indian HMT watch with an imitation Fortis dial!!







It was actually only £25 but it miffed me that the seller was a lying sod, I went back and demanded my money back, They had two of these, The other wouldn't even keep running and yet thjat too had recently been 'Serviced'!!

How do you manage in March and October?

I don't bother altering them unless i'm going to wear them, Most are mechanical so stop after 40 or so hours of not being used!

I used to wind up as many as I could once a month or so, Most I managed before my index finger and thumb were too sore was 70
