I don't bother altering them unless i'm going to wear them, Most are mechanical so stop after 40 or so hours of not being used!

I used to wind up as many as I could once a month or so, Most I managed before my index finger and thumb were too sore was 70

'Fraid not Jim, I bought one from a local antiques stall, It said that it had been serviced, It gained an hour every two!!

Also, I was told by several people that it was a fake!!, It was an Indian HMT watch with an imitation Fortis dial!!

It was actually only £25 but it miffed me that the seller was a lying sod, I went back and demanded my money back, They had two of these, The other wouldn't even keep running and yet thjat too had recently been 'Serviced'!!

I just hate assembling these. Is there some technique I am missing ? Got one to do at the moment.

Baz, I have fully stripped a couple of Champions. There not particularly difficult but it was a good two summers ago since I have done one. I ought to write a full strip down guide for it... hmm... that’s another article to write.

Even a mother might find it a bit difficult to love the looks of this particular pistol.

The Record Champion reminds me of the alien from Alien.
The Mayor: Intent? How did you establish that?
Harry Callahan: When a man is chasing a woman through an alley with a butcher’s knife and a hard-on, I figure he isn’t out collecting for the Red Cross.

Thumbs up And now for something a bit different!!

These were made by a fireman from the outskirts of Sheffield during WW2 whilst he was stationed at Londinium, They were solid oak window boards that were scavenged after the building took a direct hit from a German bomb!!

He used them apparently after the war to poach game for the table to feed his family, I'm unsure if fibreglass and Dural was available during the war so the limbs may have been replaced after the war

A couple of Milbro's and a Warden made by TJ Harrison of Gat fame!!

Did you use them in the war?

A man can always use more alcohol, tobacco and firearms.
