    TX200 Mk1/2 spring

    Good morning,

Could someone please tell me the exacts specifications of the TX200 Mk1/2 spring. My Google search yielded the following:

    - 3.25 mm wire
    - between 210 and 225 mm free length.

I am missing the number of active coils.

Background of my question, I am looking for a spring for a TX200 Mk1 in .22 and I am wondering if a (shortened) Maccari Hornet spring (38 x .125" wire- ID- .543") might be a suitable replacement. The OD of the Maccari spring fits the piston very loosely, wonder if that could cause twang?

Stroke, TP and seal are standard.

    Best,
    Jonas

    I have 2 here. Both 23 active coils (+3 collapsed) 3.25mm wire

    One is 207mm - 20.75mm od, the other 220mm - 21mm od
    Keen but clueless..

Titans are quality springs but then vary in size from the specification chart. Have a word with Julian Bond at Air Arms Spares, he should be able to supply what you need but more importantly he's got a lot of knowledge about AA guns.

Loose in the piston doesn't matter. It's how tight it fits the rear guide. As Blackmax says, Julian has exact replacement springs, but if you want a Maccari spring, just tell him what you're doing with it and he should be able to help.
