i have done this but you have to make sure you don't knock the laser. I put one on my AirArms Hi-power. i put it inside the plastic stock and drilled a hole for the beam to come out . zeroing it was an issue though as the space was tight .
I made this set up to use my Yukon Nvmt night vision on my .22lr
https://www.dropbox.com/s/r4whp5b4zj...61b4e.jpg?dl=0 The yukon Nvmt sat on the top. The yukon has no crosshair so the laser is the aiming dot. Zeroed for 30 yards . Only used it once.
And if you do decide to go for a laser ,Get one with turrets on the outside . The one above has the adjusters inside at the front and its a nightmare to set up.And green lasers are better for day time than red.
