I've just watched the weather forecast leading up to the bash. Today i'm popping to the lifeboat station to see if I can part ex my transit for their boat I'm actually thinking about crashing in the back of the van instead of the tent at the moment lol.

It's my dad's birthday today so no LVAGC for me. Popping over to Luton.
Would not fancy sleeping in a van Mike. The noise of the rain on the roof would make it like being in a drum

The Call of the Hollow is strong and clear, so never mind the rain pouring down as I write this: it's Quigley prep time.

The day's begun with a good country breakfast of oat-cakes covered in Mel Mole Trapper's marrow & ginger jam.

With the forecasts for next week-end in mind, the thermals are ready and a hot water bottle will certainly be travelling.

The tent is hanging in the garage & needs folding/packing and I want to wash & scald all the cooking/eating gear and scrub my table & cooking worktop.

The tent poles need checking and some pegs might benefit from straightening too.

The HW 100, 95, and 30s, plus a Makarov pistol will get a wipe down & a smudge of oil, sad to say, their first outing since October.

    A Happy Easter All!

    Not many sleeps now!

Good choice of armaments there Gwyn. But personally looking at the forecast I was thinking a speargun and flippers more appropriate.

For the Sat and Sun the forecasts showing a cloudy day, average daytime temp at 8C with a mild to average SW wind changine to an easterly on the Sunday both with a chance of a shower.
All in all, its not too bad !
Range wise, I read it as a right to left wind Sat changing to left to right Sunday. There's a chance at one point where the wind direction may be towards the shooters which should be OK for accuracy.

... In case we do have a prolonged period of precipitation, is there a pub within a realistic walking distance?
