I think even you would struggle with an Improved Britannia, Trev. Oddly enough shooting it prone was one of the possible reasons for the design proposed when we were discussing the whys and wherefores of said unnatural beast. If anybody fancies holding a seance to contact Mr. Bonehill ....

i'm sure that i read somewhere that air guns in warfare are banned under the Geneva convention,wether true or not,i dont know.

1942 is an interesting 'mid-point' as far as dates go. The sort of limbo-land where The Hun have been stalled on the other side of the Channel and we were all waiting to see when they might paddle over. Dunkirk is first week June 1940 - and Normandy landings are June 1944...
...which (according to Dad who landed 2nd day) marked when an Englishman finally got to put a towel on a beach recliner ahead of a German.
