    Sunshade for Connect 3-12 x 32

I want to make, or get hold of a sunshade for my 3-12 x 32 Viper Connect scope.

I've seen quite a few people using carbon fibre tubing as a sunshade on their 3-12 x 24 Connects, but I can't find any source of 43 mm ID tube to fit the wider scope. In fact I can't find a source of any type of suitable tube in this size. Anybody got any ideas where to find some, or any other way of doing it?

    Cheers

Nearest I've seen is 42mm ID with a 44.8mm OD with a wall thickness of 1.4mm. This can be easily honed out with a snug fitting flapper wheel. Or a quick skim out on a lathe.

Thanks. I'd hoped to get something that fitted without rework, but I think this would be my best bet. On the other hand, at over 40 quid delivered the scope may have to go without a sunshade. After all, the weather where I live isn't known for its sunshine !

By the looks of it their 'alpha' scope might fit. Thanks for the tip.

We are being told by the experts that carbon fibre dust is worse for us than asbestos, so consider that before removing any material and when cutting it.
