Two old skinny S60's on original leather seals and and springs, they don't half pack a punch.....
Thanks Dan for putting my 54's and s20 pistols on the thread .

Their manufacture was well dated but they are well made. Similar to that of the Webley MKIII.
Shooting experience a bit agricultural as most packed more punch than what they could handle. Barrels were straight enough and as springers go well up to farmyard use.
They died out because they were old hat, and didn't move with the times. Nice rifles to collect.
Had a few but Kept one its a S70 !
One S54 Bayern .22 with chequered fore end and grip and Bavarian stock with raised cheek-piece in immaculate condition and has had little use. Very heavy and not well balanced but a well engineered German rifle!
More of Kev's BSF collection pics posted here.

Thats a brilliant collection and so good to see another Venom Bavaria. Do you know if he has a S70 Continental or, a S80 in his collection? It would be great to track a few others down.
Cheers
My brief experience of a B55 was that it was extremely hold-sensitive and required the lightest 'cradling' to get good accuracy. I fitted it with a Maccari spring which needed alot of spacing to get full power, during this process I found that the trigger is load-dependent i.e. it gets heavier the more the spring is pre-loaded.
Therefore, if you want to shoot your BSF break-barrel with good accuracy and not too much effort, simply fit a Maccari spring and don't space it. You will get about 8 fpe and it will be pleasant and accurate.
