Is white lettering in a prewar Stoeger Webley Senior possible?

I got this pic from the Vintage Airgun Gallery don’t know if it’s proper to repost it here, but don’t know how else to highlight it, cause it in a series of many Senior pics. Looks like this Stoeger Straight Grip Senior has white lettering? Is that original? I don’t think that the UK version was but they could have started to look at doing this for Stoeger, or could have been added later?

No problem reposting it. The whole point of the gallery is to aid discussion and knowledge.

I'm no 'Webley' expert, but I thought that the white lettering was strictly post war and that inc stoeger models for the US market.

White wax crayon and a few minutes work and it's done. I actually think it looks smart - original or not
