its always safer to use the part from the original manufacturer IMHO.
Buying things in the hope it will fit is always a risky issue.
I bought a trigger stick tripod and the Y yoke came off in the middle of a huge golf course never to be seen again.
I eventually got a replacement and now I have a retention cord fitted just in case it comes off again. I don't use it often as I bought the folding gun support for it which IMHO is much better and worth the extra spend.
I tried Mono....not great, Tripod is better but quads are the best if you can live with their slow adjustment. The tripod works better as it pivots faster so easier to track an animal and drop onto it when it stops. Quads are not that quick so the flexibility of the tri is a price I am willing to pay Vs. the extra stability of the quads
