what modern springer has a 29mm cylinder ?

As I have just found a 29mm seal in my spares that I had assumed was a diana 28mm seal (same parachute, ploy type seal with a female centre tovetail fitting, like a TX). But at a full 29mm (maybe 29.2), it's never going to go into a 28mm tube...

It might actaully go well in my britinia, which is about 28.5 - with a little resizing, but curious what it's for ?

Off the top of my head - a modern-ish Webley?

Or a full size Gamo, Magnum?

I'd say Gamo magnum as well, the standard 25mm Gamo seal is the same as a TX seal, so probably the same fitting.

The BSA Supersport that I'm currently fettling has a 29mm bore, John.

I guess the new ones and the Lightning are the same bore, although the fitting (male) is different.

hmm.. the older ones were 28mm I thought - as I've used them in FWB sports..

But different fitting though, clearly. I think this one is probably gamo..

Hi Jon, I’m currently rejuvenating an asi magnum of 80s vintage, which was very kindly donated to me from Richard H, the cylinder is indeed 29mm & the seal is exactly as you mention.

I'd looked into parachute seals for my Supersport, it is the old version with 29mm bore.

The adapter needed would increase stroke and drop power as it wasn't a simple conversion. I had thought about cutting the piston but I was dubious about weakening it.

Glad you found the info, I had a sheet with seal sizes on but it's m.i.a

The Supersport already has a 29mm parachute seal, it was the old Airsporter/Mercury's that were 28mm and can take a 28mm Diana seal with an adapter.
