I've got a couple of walnut stocked guns and and have had the same in beech and the walnut was a lot lighter,
The rapids in walnut was lighter,
My s410 was a lot lighter in walnut,
The hw35e however in a walnut stock dose not seem much different, Must be a different e of walnut,

I know it's an old thread but just to chip in......Craig-P brought a HW30S to a Bash in recent times with a chunky, heavy stock. I think it was ash? It imparted a huge degree of extra stability and on-aim confidence. Lovely thing.
