    Hi,
The older multi-shots were called raptors and were based on the FN12 & 19 actions. The newer models were called Prairie and were available in a few formats and styles too. Try an image search on your favourite browser and I am sure you will find out which one he had.
    Cheers Rich.

Your looking at at least £300 for a good one but they're very well engineered and will last a lifetime if you're careful when you buy.

Look for obvious signs of abuse, especially to the hex grub screws at the end of the receiver which would suggest someone has been a the hammer adjuster. Worth a check with a chronograph to make sure it's consistent, you should get 50-60 good shots from a 170 bar fill.
