Assuming all is forgiven for the faux-arse-paddle-debacle? ...(I didn't realise there would be such a demand, and Guy has sort of apologised...so let's just forget it, eh? )
Anyway, I'm sort of in the middle of making a Quackenbush type fairground target and have come up with this as an idea...

What do you think? ...stand too gaudy?..or just right for mock farground look?...not sure where it will go but it's shaping up for a fun project. Have seen a youtube vid of a Quackenbush target that flips 90 degrees to show a skull on the back when shot through the centre?...

In British slang an anorak is a person who has a very strong interest in niche subjects.
One end of a garden bench ?
Always looking for any cheap, interesting, knackered "project" guns. Thanks, JB.
Thanks chaps
Yes Danny, Victorian gaudy art nouveau was sort of what I was aiming for with it...
Yes John, it is one of a pair of garden bench ends that I have been carting around from house to house for about 25 years in the hope that one day I'll find a use for them...

Just jigging things around but this is another potential design/style...(my foot is for scale )

Not that it matters too much but I don't want to cut anything until I have a good, clear mental picture of the finished thing...

Both...there are a few versions of this target with slightly different mechanisms, but most seem to do pretty much the same thing - bell rings and a little metal duck shape pops out the top.
Edit: although, this is one of the alternative designs I am considering -

...hence the upside down cast iron bench end to act as a stand for the flipping target...
