    Allen bolt size

Can anyone tell me the the size
Of the two little bolts that clamp the barrel in place
    On the HW45
    I’ve rounded one
And where’s the best place to get one
Looked on chambers out of stock
    Cheers

I can't help you with the bolt size but I get all sorts of nuts and bolts from Namrick; http://www.namrick.co.uk/
Usually next day delivery and considerably cheaper that Chambers although minimum order is £5.

Can you get one out to measure it? It will almost certainly be a metric size so I suspect all you need is the diameter of the threaded part and the length, although you can, of course, reduce the length of a too long one.
Once you have this info it should be an easy matter to find replacements. You could take one of the bolts to a good tool shop and ask them ... maybe even trying your bolt in one of their nuts to ensure the thread profile matches ... just in case you have a not common thread (possible but unlikely). Or visit e.g. B&Q who may do small packs or even a visit to 'that site'.
    Cheers, Phil

If you meant what size is the socket

I, like many engineer friends, don't worry about size, it's the fit that's important! If there is any slack between the hex key and socket you run the risk of damaging either or both. To remove a rounded out socket is tricky, you may be able to hammer in a sacrificial key or hex bit, or cut a groove and use a screwdriver. Some stud removers may fit, or the head can be sawn or ground off and the stud left tackled with grips. Once you have the bit out you will be able to measure the thread diameter and pitch for a replacement. Hth David
