    Does anybody know if I can have my standard lenght titanium air cylinder shortened ?

    Does anybody know if I can have my standard lenght S400 titanium air cylinder shortened, if this isn't possable, Does anybody know where I can have a Carbine one made ?

    I would have thought that it would be simple enough as it's only a matter of removing the end plug, cutting, re-threading, and re-fitting the end plug,

    Try asking the place where you bought it from.

    Why dont you buy a carbine length cylinder for S400 instead of trying to butcher a standard length one !!

    Not so simple with a 'Titanium air cylinder'

    I would buy one if I new where to go.

    Where did you get the cylinder from?

    Who made it ? get onto them to see if they'll shorten it for you.

    hi phil yes mate it can be done any tidy tool maker but you will need to get it tested

    Welding is easy compared to machineing, to get some one to set up, cut and re thread on a one off basis would cost a small fortune if you are not going to be left with a load of scrap.
    Dont let any one tell you its easy to machine, Titanium is a pain in the gear box.
