HFT 'Training Day' Sun 4th Feb ..

The idea of a ' Training Day ' was suggested to us by Michelle , and we thought , that sounds like a good idea , lets do it ...

Out on the course shooters often hit the faceplate 12 o'clock high or 6 o'clock low , sometimes due to poor technique , but more often due to miss ranging the target .. These misses are often discussed afterwards with fellow shooters , but the actual details of the target are often not found out till much later , and sometimes not at all .. The moment has now long gone to evaluate why you ranged incorrectly ... On Sunday 4th Feb we will set out a 30 target course to usual standards ( UKAHFT rules ) and there will be a card disclosing kill size and distance of each target left by each shooting peg ... The shooter can then , if they wish , check that their range finding techniques are working , and maybe find some alternatives if not ..

The shooter with the highest score of the day will take away absolutely nothing , but we hope a few shooters will take away some skills to help them master the art of HFT ...

Cheers
