The Webley - Stoeger “Coming to America” Case

In finishing my casing of the Stoeger Webley Senior, I did get two coins. Ended up focusing on getting the same size coin with a pleasing image. I first chose the 1932 English Penny because given my serial number that was probably when it was made. The Penny had a pleasing figure of Britannica which seemed appropriate. Thought I would match it with the same size US coin which is a silver half dollar called the Walking Liberty. The two lady’s face each other and “Miss Liberty” seems to be welcoming “Miss Brit”. Unfortunately when trying to get a matching 1932 I found during the first several years of the Depression no coins were minted. (Makes you wonder who could afford these guns?) So it is a 1934 which is still within the dates these were made. Not sure I will actually mount the coins in the case or not but it was fun.

You have put together a nice little nostalgic set there. Very tasteful.

    I like the coin idea.
Good way to remember your make date.

An English Penny Such a pistol deserves at least a half sovereign.
