Only the first couple of inches of the barrel is rifled.

The 2.5 pellet shoots well with good power but is only available in silver as is the 4 inch pellet which has the longest rifled barrel of the three.

All three are quite accurate and powerful and seem to be well made.

Probably the best co2 revolver after the Umarex S&W.

The first DWs aren’t that bad and we’re innovative.
    Excellent info! Thanks for that.

So is the 4" barrel fully rifled? I've had the S&W's and can't fault them in use, but that swing out mag sucks the big one!

Yes the 2.5 and 4 are fully rifled.
I had a 6 with a fully rifled barrel but recent ones dont seem to have them.

    I've a 6 inch with a full rifled barrel.

I find it weird and confusing that the newer ones only have the first part of the barrel rifled. Not sure how it saves them cash or hassle to do that!!

EDIT : I also have 4 of the older Dan Wessons, all have been great, my oldest one is probably close to a decade old and still shoots great.

I posted this on the UBC recently, my smooth-bore 715 at 8 meters, with a 2x AGS scope, rested on a chair.

Too many guns, or not enough time?

    Good shooting.

What is the rail ?? Looks like a 3/8" to Picatinny adapter ??

I've an unscoped 715, a 2x20 scope and the very same adapter all sat in my airgun cupboard and I hadn't realised I had everything I needed !!

    Indeed it is!

I had to do some thinning on the edge of one of the rails to get it to sit 'nicely' on the top of the vent without bruising it. I also flared the shape at the back end to suit the shape on the gun and bring it a little more rearward.
I don't like the official version, plus it is a silly price and I am a tight-git...

Awesome, gonna give this a try later today and see what I can come up with.

You are bang on about the official rail system, it is crazy money for what it is.

The only issue I’ve had with the dna Wesson 715 is a very weak pawl bar, I’ve had 2 6 inch ones so far, and after maybe 300 pellets the pawl has snapped making it useless, thankfully my dealer replaced it free of charge
