My early Fenman was very accurate with H&N FTT...
I have a really nice early Hyedua stocked .22 Fenman, in fact the stock is an exquisit tiger stripped pattern which Theoben (Custom Stock) occasionally produced.
I've had this rifle for some years now but it has a tendency to behave a "bit like a shotgun" with a 20mm spread at 25m which I'm not too happy with.
The barrel and everything else as far as I can see looks fine but I've recently swapped the original Evo moddy which was a little worn, for a very nice Vortex unit and tomorrow I'm taking the rifle down to the range with a selection of .22 pellets to reasess its ability !
Fun stuff this airgun gunning lark isn't it !
“An airgun or two”………
My early Fenman was very accurate with H&N FTT...
You might find that 5.53mm work well. My Fenman was also very accurate with (proper) Eley Wasps. At 5.6mm, they did sap MV/ME though...
Check the power John, with FTT's (mine's preffered diet) it is spot on up to 11.1-ish, get over 11.3 and it's a bag of nails!
My ignore list: <Hidden information>
Got my Evo a year or more ago and i have not even zeroed it . Need to get out and use it .
The land i have is very open so i use the .22lr more . I have just got 2 more permissions that are less open so i can use it there . I originally wanted a HW80k but i got this Evo for a good price along with the pump . I will give it ago then decide if im keeping it .
Far too many rifles to list now, all mainly British but the odd pesky foreigner has snuck in
Hope all goes well tomorrow, John.
Have fun.
