    Lionelbudge,

    Please have a peek here :

    FT Rules etc. :

    HFT rules etc. :

    HFT, as its name might suggest, has rules that are more specific in places - e.g. max. mag limit on scope (IIRC, 12x), and you are not allowed to alter parallax on when your eye is at the scope - so no parallax ranging.

    Have fun & a good weekend

    Best regards

    Generally...

    FT is shot predominantly in the sitting position and you are allowed to adjust and use the scope to determine range and it's shot out to 55yds normally between 40-50 targets which are scored as either a hit or a miss, with unsupported positionals, and works to pretty much one set of national rules and one set of international rules, and the governing body is run as a democratic national structure (the BFTA), and a democratic international structure (the WFTF).

    HFT is shot predominantly in the prone position and you are not allowed to adjust the scope during the event to determine range with it and it's shot out to mostly 45 yds normally to 30 sometimes 40 targets which are scored as a 0 for a miss plate, 1 for a hit plate, and 2 for knockdown, and depending on which of the multitude of rule sets you choose you may or may not have positionals, supported positionals or unsupported positionals. The bodies that run the various HFT leagues both nationally and internationally are self appointed.

    FT = F1
    HFT = WRC

    Both are equally as fun as each other and enjoyed by similar amounts of people.

    * Positionals are standing and kneeling shots.
